Gesy Update December 2020
As of today, Tuesday 1st of December, Cyprus Government has added additional services to GESY, the Cyprus national healthcare system.
These additional services will be available under the general health scheme:
- Preventive dental care
- Out-patients treatment for mental health
- Physiotherapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy
- Clinical psychologists
- Clinical dieticians
These additions we planned earlier but they were delayed because of the pandemic.
The above services in most cases will require a referral by your GP. They will have a price ranging from €6-€10 per session and a maximum session will be in place for each service.
Registration of such providers has started earlier, is continuing and it is expected to grow significantly over the next 2 months. A list of providers and services can be found here.
